Private Lessons

One-On-One Instruction

Unlock the potential of personalized instruction with our Private Lessons, whether you’re just getting started, refining your spins or mastering your jumps, our coaches are here to guide you through every pivot and glide. Experience the dedicated attention that accelerates progress and perfects technique, tailored just for you.

Skaters interested in private lessons should have completed Learn to Skate (passed Pre-Alpha) and be enrolled in Figure Skating 101 at minimum, however, most skaters taking private lessons are in Figure Skating 201 or Jump & Spin classes.
(*Many skaters begin private lessons when they are enrolled in Figure Skating 201 and/or at the Freestyle 1 level, when jumps and spins are introduced. Please see the Ice Skating Academy Coaches page & the IPA Skate Team page for additional information and what’s next.)

Private lessons are available during a Freestyle session (Ice Time fees are $8.00 for 30-minutes for Non-Club Members or $6.00 for 30-minutes for Club Members), with coaching rates ranging from $15 to $35 per 30-minute lesson, depending on the coach’s experience.
*The Freestyle Ice Time Fee must be paid online to the arena prior to stepping on the ice and starting the lesson.
*The Coach’s Fee is paid directly to the coach in most cases.
*Club Member = IPA Skate Team Member with dues paid in FULL.
(See the IPA Skate Team Page for more information on becoming a member.)

*Skaters looking to compete or perform in an ice show, must have a private lesson instructor, have a current ISI Membership and be a member of the IPA Skate Team.

*A skater does not need to compete to have a private lesson instructor.
