The Artists Hand

Exploring Color: Drawing with Pastels

Explore a variety of subjects using pastels, from color mixing to application and more with local artist Jolene Joyner. While prior drawing experience is not mandatory, it is beneficial. Ideal participants will have completed a beginner drawing class, be familiar with basic drawing tools, and have an understanding of perspective.

Learn to Weave

Explore the art of loom weaving with a hands-on, 5-hour workshop where participants will have the perfect opportunity to explore the techniques and skills required to create your own dish towel or table mat on a four-harness loom. Choose your favorite colors and learn the basics of weaving in an inviting, creative setting.

Please note: This one-day program is offered on two separate dates— August 3rd and August 17th. Registration and payment is required for each session you wish to attend.

Intro to Drawing

Learn how to draw in this introductory course, no prior experience is needed—our instructor will guide you through the basic principles of construction, composition, line, value, perspective, and more in a fun and engaging manner.

Intro to Figure Drawing

Uncover the fundamental skills necessary to draw realistic human proportions, muscle and skeletal structures, gestures, poses, and portraiture art in our introductory course on figure drawing in a stress free educational environment. Pencils, erasers and sharpeners will be provided.

Watercolor Floral Painting

Revel in a serene afternoon learning how to paint various flowers using water colors. Participants can take a guided approach by using a provided stencil or can let their artistic expression flow by painting their own images from flowers on the tables.

Please note: This one-day program is offered on two separate dates— July 27th and August 10th. Registration and payment is required for each session you wish to attend.

Dek Hockey

Enjoy the glorious game of hockey year round in a unique outdoor environment. No prior experience is needed for this Dek Hockey program, where our coaches teach the fundamentals of the game through drills, practical lessons and games. Bring your own Helmet, Stick and Gloves if possible; however, limited equipment will be provided.

Please Note: All classes will be held outdoors, with an option for indoor flooring surface, if bad weather.

Let’s Have a Latte Fun: Specialty Drinks & Cupcake Wars

Dive into a whirlwind of creativity where you’ll whip up your own specialty drinks before engaging in a friendly competition of Cupcake Wars! Form a team or take on the challenge solo as you craft themed cupcakes, enjoy some lively tunes, and savor a delightful snack amidst the fun.

Please Note: This one-day program is offered on two separate dates— June 18th and July 23rd. Registration and payment is required for each session you wish to attend.

Intro to Lacrosse

Experience the one of the fastest growing sports in this introductory, non-contact lacrosse program. Participants will find out if the sport is a fit for them while learning the basics with an emphasis on passing, catching, throwing, cradling, stick skills and rules. Sessions will include skill instruction and fun activities that will reinforce previously learned skills in a safe environment.

Please Note: All classes will be held outdoors, with an option for indoor turf option, if bad weather.

Tennis Camp

Join us for a two day tennis camp with local head varsity tennis coach, Matt Neil, and varsity players from both the boys and girls teams. Participants will learn the fundamentals of tennis and practice the different shots including forehands, backhands, serves, and volleys. This co-ed program will be split into age-reflective categories and is open to players of all ability levels; no experience required. Bring your own racket if possible. Some equipment and a light snack will be provided.

Please Note: Due to planned construction, we will be moving inside to the S&T Bank Arena Turf & Hard Court Surfaces.

Indoor Pickleball - "Learn to Play in a Day"

Obtain the skills needed to play pickleball in this ONE-DAY session. Led by our S&T Bank Arena Pickleball Coordinators, this beginners course will teach participants the basics of the game, foundational skills, serving, forehands, backhands, rules and more.  Bring your own equipment if possible; however, limited equipment will be provided.

Please note: This one-day program is offered on two separate dates—June 12th and June 19th. Registration and payment is required for each session you wish to attend.

IPA Skate Team Off Season Group Training

Join us for the IPA Off Season Group Training once a month during May, June and July for a specially crafted program designed to level up your core athletic abilities in order to prepare participants for the next ice season. Each session will have a specific focus on stretching and flexibility, strength training and endurance, and techniques and skills for jumps, spins and more.

May 30th | 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM — Focus on stretching and flexibility, promoting injury prevention.

June 20th | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM — Endurance and strength training with GreenFire CrossFit.

July 11th | 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM — Techniques for jumps, spins, and more, to enhance athletic skills.

Please note: Participants must be previously enrolled in Figure Skating 101  to participate. Registration and payment is required for each session you wish to attend.

KHA Hockey Off Season Group Training

Sharpen your hockey skills in the KHA Off-Season Group Training, a four-week program designed to improve your skills during the summer. Participants will be coached through a variety of focuses: shooting, stick handling, drills and other techniques that you can practice year round.
