Learn To Play

The S&T Bank Arena Hockey academy is  the second step in youth hockey. Participants must complete the Learn to Skate portion of the Skating Academy to be eligible to join the Hockey Academy. All classes will be instructed by a USA Hockey Certified Level 4 hockey coach. The focus for this class is developmental instruction and small, scrimmage-style games, while emphasizing FUN! Your child will learn the basics of puck handling, passing, shooting and more in depth hockey skating techniques. With the instruction and skills they gain in this class, they will then be eligible to participate in the In House Hockey program. All participants in the Hockey Academy will receive a value card for free public admission.
