Learn To Play Hockey
Prerequisite: Alpha Level Learn To Skate
Our Learn To Play Hockey program is designed for aspiring hockey players looking to take their first step into the game of hockey after completing the Alpha Level in Learn to Skate. There is still a strong emphasis on individual skating skills, but skaters will also be introduced to hockey equipment, skills and drills.

Each session is 8 weeks long and held every Friday from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM.
A completed registration form and payment are required to hold your spot.
*Registrations are NOT accepted after the second class of a session
Please note that all skaters must have completed the Alpha Level of the Learn to Skate program in order to participate in the Learn to Play program.
Full hockey equipment is REQUIRED in order to participate. Kelly’s Hockey Shop is our full service pro-shop located inside of the arena and has all of the latest merchandise.
In the Learn to Play program, it's important to note that purchasing your own equipment is necessary for participation. New players will need: Hockey Skates, a Stick (cut & taped), Hockey Gloves, Hockey Pants, Mouth Guard, Neck Guard, Helmet, Hockey Socks, a Jersey, Shin Guards, Chest Protector, and Elbow Pads. Our professional team is here to assist you in selecting the right gear, offering proper measuring and brand recommendations. Additionally, for first-time buyers, remember that brand new skates always require sharpening before hitting the ice, and we can take care of that for you too! Kelly’s Hockey Shop, conveniently located within the arena, is your one-stop destination for all your hockey equipment needs, offering the latest merchandise and essentials.
